The Negra Criolla, also known and Listán Preto in the Canary Islands or País in Chile, has certainly become a speciality here. The fruit is sourced from untrained vines growing at vertiginous 2400m of altitude. These often grow up the local Peppercorn trees, fully embracing it's natural form as climbers. This is elegant, yet packed with fragrant spiced fruit. Dried blueberries, goji berries, earthy undertones and dried eucalyptus come to mind.
