In our producer focus case of this month we are featuring Quinta da Boavista, a incredible estate in the granite mountains of the region of Dão in Portugal. The estate was heavily affected by the wild fires in Portugal on the 16th of September and the organic vineyards they had been tending since the 90's and their family home were destroyed in the fire. The warehouse where the wines were stored was saved from the devastation of the fires, so the best thing we can all do to aid the reconstruction of the estate is to drink and celebrate their wines. 1. Quinta da Boavista Rufia Branco 2022, Dão, Portugal (2 bottles included)
A wonderful blend of local grapes: Encruzado, Malvasia Fina, Bical and Cercial, resulting in a vibrant style with tones of white pears, citrus zest, oatmeal and pine tones.

2. Quinta da Boavista Rufia Rosado 2022, Dão, Portugal
The Quinta's Rufia Rosado is a beautiful complex rosé made with two iconic Dão varieties: Rufete and Touriga Nacional. This is packed with sour cherry, apricot fruit and scrubbed herbs. Unique and fun with generous fruit and spice that can stand up to a meal.  

3. Quinta da Boavista Rufia Clarete 2022, Dão, Portugal
Clarete is a traditional Portuguese style used to describe a low extraction red. The rules are, it has to be fruity, delicate, gently extracted and with very low alcohol. The Rufia Clarete is made with two classic Dão grapes: Rufete and Touriga Nacional. This is juicy with beautiful bright red candied cherry notes, candied peach, blossom tones and paprika spice. Best served with a full chill!

4. Quinta da Boavista Tretas Tinto 2021, Dão, Portugal (2 bottles included)
'Tretas is an energetic red with aromas of sour cherry, cassis, orange zest and herbaceous undertones. It is a blend of local Rufete, Touriga Nacional and Jaen (or Mencia in Spain). This is crisp, mouthwatering and fruity - can be served slighly chilled.
