1. Domaine Geschickt Crémant d'Alsace NV, Alsace, France
Aurélie and Arnaud are the passionate duo behind the familial Domaine Geschickt estate just south of Colmar, making some wines full of energy and unique touch with the noble Alsacian varieties. Their Crémant is made in a traditional method with a blend of the three Pinots: Blanc, Auxerrois and Gris. This is round and toasty with deep stone fruit, brioche, citrus and hemp.
2. Phelan Farm Pet Nat 2022, California, USA
Known for his various projects across California and Oregon - such as Sandhi, Domaine de la Cote and Evening Land just to name a few - Rajat Parr is a famous sommelier, successful author and talented winemaker who has most recently taken on a new project in Cambria. His new regenerative project Phelan Farm is not only ambitious as it is unique, creating some of the most exciting styles in California. This is a special bottle made with the ancestral method and it is a blend of Pinot Noir and Gamay grown in the estate. Notes of red cherry, raspberry fruit, pencil shavings and anis come to mind.
3. Domaine de Bichery La Source 2021, Champagne, France
One can't get through the festive season without a good bottle of Champagne by their side. This familial domaine is one to look out as an up and coming grower promoting natural champagne in the region. 'La Souce' aka 'where it all begins' symbolizes the launch of the estate and their flagship wine. This is a blend of Chardonnay and Pinot Noir sourced from the domaine's all ten plots. Beautiful heady citrus blend in brioche tones and apricot fruit. Great mineral depth and long finish.
4. Domaine du Gringet, Mont Blanc Gringet 2019, Savoie, France
Domaine du Gringet, previously known as Domaine Belluard, carries on the legacy of Dominique Belluard, who elevated the rare alpine grape Gringet through meticulous biodynamic farming in the steep slopes of Savoie. Mont Blanc is one of the first releases under the new name, made from grapes still vinified by Dominique before his passing in 2021. Sourced from a single plot planted between 1970 and 1980 in the limestone soils of Vers Etraz, this sparkling wine offers complex notes of dried lime, yellow apples, scrubbed herbs, and brioche. A truly unique and rare wine, perfect for celebrating a special occasion.
