1. Kleines Gut Vin de Soif Rouge 2023, Württemberg, Germany
A brand new wine from Germany led by duo Frederike Schmidt & Daniel Kurrle. Their processes are strictly organic, following a hand off approach in the winery. They create honest wines that express their terroir. This is a blend of Trollinger, Pinot Noir and Zweigelt - an elegant fruity style packed with tones of red cherry, candied raspberry and violets.
2. Joanna Dubrawska Grolleau Maninalto 2020, Loire, France
Each year Joanna picks a region and a place to collaborate and make a different wine that is a snapshot of it's place and vintage. The 2020 is 100% Grolleau from the Loire. A delicate style with aromas of dried blueberry, violets, blackcurrants and struck match. This is best served with little decant to fully unveil the aromatics and potential of the wine.
3. D.o.t.e. Syrah Ok Ok Pt2 2020, Tuscany, Italy
A delicate expression of Syrah aged in a mixture of stainless steel and old barrel. This is soft in texture with aromas of black plums, mineral spice, fresh herbs and violet tones.
4. François de Nicolay Pinot Noir Pinosheim 2022, Alsace, France
François is a reputed winemaker in Burgundy, together with his sister Claude they were pioneers in biodynamics in the region. For his négoce a similar care and processes are used. His Pinosheim cuvée is sourced from Châtenois in Alsace - this is deeply coloured with black cherry, cedar spice and dried rose. A bit more textured and gastronomical Pinot.
5. Gogo Wine Poliamoria 2021, Kakheti, Georgia
A wonderful red from lead natural female winemaker in Kakheti, Keto Berishvili. This is a blend of white and red grapes: Saperavi, Mtsvane and Rkatsiteli macerated on the skins and aged in the traditional clay pots (Qvevris). Earthy sour cherry meets rye bread and cinnamon notes. Textured, refreshing acidity and lively tannins.
6. Chiara Condello Sangiovese Predappio 2021, Emilia Romagna, Italy
Chiara, originally from Emilia decided to purchase a plot of land and focus on lower intervention farming and winemaking to showcase the potential of Sangiovese in this part of the world. Usually associated with Tuscany, Sangiove has however a long history in the calcareous soils of Emilia creating wines with an intense aromatic drive and bright energy. This is a serious red that can be open and decanted. Notes of dried cherry, spicy cedar, rose and tomato leaf come to mind. Very fragrant and powerful gastronomical tannins.
